Rie Werner and Malik Shikkoh are both Alumni of the MBA Solvay programme, a 10 or 20-month Master of Business Administration taught in the heart of Europe at the Solvay Brussels School. Powered by an outstanding international faculty, MBA Solvay is a unique learning experience that transforms academic content into practical tools for a career in management.
“If I had to mention just one key lesson,” explains Rie, “it would be that ‘everything is possible’. Instead of focusing on problems or obstacles, MBA Solvay encourages you to see the opportunities in every situation, to raise questions, seek advice and challenge the assumptions or the rules of the game.”
Malik agrees: “Unlike any other masters programme, an MBA is more a way of life where the experience and knowledge imparted become lifelong partners.” And this experience is also challenging: “I am very lucky to have a partner who understood the requirements of the programme. As a family, we agreed that I would take a back seat and give my full attention to studying,” admits Malik.
This is a sentiment shared by Rie who concludes: “MBA Solvay was an intense experience. For my part, I was privileged to have an encouraging husband and a flexible babysitter.”
