BSB The British School of Brussels (BSB) was founded in 1969 and is situated in attractive woodland in Tervuren, about 15 km from central Brussels. There are excellent sports, drama and music facilities, including a 240-seat theatre and a self-service cafeteria. Students, from ages 3-18, are offered a British education based on the UK (English) curriculum, leading to (I)GCSEs and the choice of the International Baccalaureate Diploma or A Levels post-16. Provision is made for Oxbridge entrance. There is an Additional Educational Needs Department, with an Educational Psychologist, and a School Counsellor. Our “Kindercrib” nursery, housed in a separate villa, is for children from 1–3 years of age.

The School's ethos embraces the cultural diversity of our students in promoting respect for each other's languages, traditions and beliefs:
  • 52% of our students are from the UK and we have over 70 nationalities represented on roll
  • French lessons start from age five and German, Spanish or Dutch is taught from age eleven
  • Educational field trips take advantage of the wealth of resources in the area with residential School trips to the Netherlands, to France, to Germany and to the UK.
